freedomHello.
We are going to continue to talk about freedom, in fact it may be helpful to go back and re-read yesterday’s blog before continuing with today’s.
Do you feel like the definition from the Oxford English Dictionary; a person who is the legal property of sickness and is forced to obey it? A person who is excessively controlled by an illness? What if I said that today, you can be free?
I want to build your faith for your freedom by looking at freedom in the Bible.
God loves His people. He cares for them and for their needs. In the Bible,at the beginning of the book of Exodus, God’s people, the people that He loves , are bound in slavery. They are forced into slave labour to build for the Egyptians. The whole nation, hundreds and thousands of them in the burning desert with little food and water, whipped and beaten by their Egyptian slave masters and forced to work. There was no escape; except maybe death. These were God’s people. The people he loves, He has a relationship with them, and yet they were slaves; tools to build temples to other gods and to the Pharaoh himself.
God heard their cries and sent Moses to lead His people out of slavery and into freedom; a promised land all of their own. God came and fought on behalf of His people, he parted the Red Sea, caused hail to fall from the sky, cased the river Nile to turn to blood. God did not just sit from afar; He actively fought for His people’s freedom. Moses led a whole nation out of Egypt and into a land flowing with milk and honey. God is for freedom, He is against slavery.
If you are a slave to sickness, you don’t need to be. Freedom from your sickness can be yours. That freedom is the freedom of Jesus and He will set you free from the slavery of sickness. He done it again and again throughout the Bible and He does it today. Do you want to be free or do you want to be a slave?
The scripture below is who Jesus is:
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
 (Isaiah 61).
Jesus brought total freedom to people
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (Matthew 11.41).
If you feel like a slave to sickness then today you can be set free.
If you would like to, then place your hand on the part of your body that is sick. Bring yourself under this prayer agree with it, pray it yourself and let it enter you.
‘In the name of Jesus. I declare that the year of freedom has come . The power of Jesus to bring freedom for the captives of sickness and a release from darkness for the prisoners of sickness, and a proclamation of the year of the LORD’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God into sickness, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. And I speak freedom into you! Freedom from sickness and to no more be a slave, for the night of slavery has ended and the morning of freedom has begun. Let the Lord bring you into a new land flowing with milk and honey and promise and a land to call your own. So, in Jesus name I declare and speak the words of FREEDOM into you in Jesus name!!!!!!! Amen! ‘
You may have to pray this a couple of times, but when you do start to move your body part that needs healing. If for example you have a bad leg, start moving your leg around as you repeat this prayer and test to see if you are healed. You may have to declare the prayer over yourself a few times, but keep at it. Work with the Holy Spirit. If any of you who read this have a pain in the lower right bottom of your back, pain in the left hand and headache on your right side I would like to encourage you to read that prayer again;
‘back pain on the right side, head pain and left hand I speak FREEDOM into you in Jesus name; be healed!’
