healing19Hello.
Today we are going to look at the relationship between healing and the prophetic.
Did you know that there was a relationship between healing and the evangelistic anointing, the apostolic anointing and the prophetic anointing? Today andover  the next two days we will look at how healing works as part of the prophetic anointing.
Firstly, the agents of healing in the Old Testament centred on the prophets. They were used by God to bring physical healing to people.
Secondly, the prophetic at its basic is bringing a word of encouragement or a word to build and strengthen. But it is more than just bringing a ‘nice word.’ When one brings a word from God ,  as soon as it is spoken, power gets released that goes straight into the person being prophesied over.
You see, everything in creation responds to the spoken word of God. Creation itself came into being by the spoken word of God. When one speaks out under the active prophetic anointing, they are carrying that same power and authority, speaking on God’s behalf. The spoken prophetic word has power to bring and align people’s future, calling and destiny into existence and it has power to curse sickness. These are more than just words, they are a supernatural creative force that is unleashed that has authority to call into existence healing or new body parts under the prophetic anointing.
When one prophesies under the active anointing of the Holy Spirit and speaks out the word of God, there is a supernatural dimension to it. With prophetic authority, the word of God can uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow, it can build and plant (Jeremiah 1.10). The prophetic word can pierce darkness, remove the enemy and bring healing to people. There is a supernatural authority that accompanies the prophetic word of God;
The tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18.21).
The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lighting. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the desert of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his Temple all cry ‘Glory’
(Psalm 29.3-9).
Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones spoke the prophetic word of God to the dead. The dead lifeless bones heard the spoken prophetic authoritive command and they responded to the word of God by coming back to life. Sickness and disease will respond, the demonic will respond, the dead will respond. Even creation itself will yield to the spoken word of God. The word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword:
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4.12).
It is like the two prophets in Revelation who shot fire from their mouths (Revelation 11.5).
Limiting the prophetic to just giving a ‘nice word’ limits the healing power that can get actively prophesied into someone. The word of God enters into their being, into the most inner part of their existence and brings healing.
Tomorrow we will look at more at the prophetic role in healing.
